Georgia on my mind...

Okay, so if you know me, you know what we're going through right now. It's weird! I can honestly say I cannot remember any length of time that Bubba and I were not always right there beside each other. Weird is the only word for this feeling.

So, I spent the day packing boxes and thinking...dangerous! #1 - I am not a great box packer - just ask the other J-Dub and #2 - when my mind can wonder, it gets carried away...

But I just had to say thanks to my friend in the west Texas town of El Paso for being the Christian woman that I've always needed to be my friend, my sister, and yes, even a role model...yes, I said role model. I don't think I would be in the position I'm in (is that good or bad?) without having watched you live out your life in front of me for the last year or so...you've lived it in strength, not yours, but Our Lord's and completely covered in His Grace...Thank You, for letting me be a part and watch your beautiful spirit!

And I truly have to say thanks to Pops and his beautiful bride. We've never experienced true honest friendship as a married couple like we have with you two. It totally overwhelms me and at times, leaves me speechless, yes, speechless. To be a part of your family and share special events with you up close and personal has changed me and helped me become more like Christ. Thanks for challenging me constantly and putting up with me when I don't particularly care for the challenge.

And to the newlyweds...you've blessed us with your special day in ways that I will never be able to put into words, NEVER. We love you so much!

Okay, so obviously, I should not be left alone with my thoughts!!! But, we love you guys, and remember that you'll always have a place to stay in Kennesaw...always.

And Bubba, have fun in the big city without me! But, remember this time - I get a dining room suite, not another guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats to the Moodys!

We were there folks for the front row seat of the Moody wedding this weekend. (Actually, I was in the back row with Emma Grace's curly little head in my lap as she snored through the entire ceremony!) BUT - Chris Moody is officially married - I still really can't believe it. I told my bubba that I really think that I had the best time at this wedding than I have had at any other - ever - okay, really, it may have been more fun than my own! Lottie - we loved everything from the huge party to the tiniest little details. The Evans family are some of the most talented folks I may have ever met. They crafted something for every part of the wedding and they are all musical, too...these are my kind of people! =)

Seriously, Lottie and Chris, we LOVE you so much and pray all the best for you as you begin this new phase of the journey together.

Check out Chris's blog for some of our favorite pics from the wedding - cwhisonant.blogspot.com

Okay, so on Monday morning, we will officially be listed on the MLS - so send all your friends to 329 Breckenridge Place - and pray that it sells quickly. We're doing pretty well getting ready for strangers coming through our home regularly, by that I mean that I - Mrs. Spic and Span - am preparing myself...=)

One last joyful note...Lalalalalalala

Dust starting to settle...

and I guess that my mind is starting to work again after the shock that I said, "Yes, honey, let's go to Georgia." If you know me, you know that I am so far out of my little box (which is called Newport) and way out of my comfort zone (York county). =) And you know, it's not nearly as terrifying as I had always imagined it would be. Of course, we're only at the beginning of this fine adventure, so I'll let you know how the ride goes.

I think we'll be listing our home with a Realtor in the next day or so...
For me - the germophobe, neat freak...this is going to get hairy! Who knows, Chris may even blog normally to complain about my OCD when this is all said and done - or maybe he'll just be glad to escape me and live in a hotel in Kennesaw during the week. Either way, this may well be a very interesting new chapter of our married life.

Of course, that boy sure does love me...and I'd have to say ditto for me, too.

Have a happy weekend folks, we're headed to Cola-town to watch Chris Moody get hitched...well and to make sure that he does get hitched...we'll let you know how it was!

I Surrender...

Okay, so all the cool kids are bloggin' and I'm just not going to be outdone! So, as my friend said, I have been assimilated or in my case, I just surrender to being cool!

Chris and I have just made a huge decision and I guess it's time to blog so that everyone can keep up with the 'Nut family. Chris has accepted a position with Lotus911 in Kennesaw, GA, so watch out Bulldogs - family of nuts and Gamecock fans headed your way! We know this is what God has been preparing us for for a long time now. It is beautiful to live another piece of His puzzle for our lives - to obey Him! We're scared and excited and everything in between! Speaking of between, we'll all be living between Rock Thrill and Kennesaw until the house sells here...so tell all your friends.

We have been so richly blessed - it is unreal!

Keep up with us on my blog because you know no one understands that crazy-techno-talk on Bubba's blog. I'm sure to tell funny stories and share lots of embarrassing photos...after all, it's what I enjoy doing.
