bella the movie

bella the movie

Chris and I along with our friends, Evans and Cindy, received the blessing of pre-screening this movie at Passion's Thirsty Conference this spring. This movie is totally different in every aspect from your typical Hollywood movies. It is being released into more and more areas because it has succeeded and beat the odds. You see the filmmakers refused Hollywood's "offer" to make the movie how Hollywood wanted to make it. To strip it of its values and leave a hollow shell of entertainment, and so at the risk of gigantic failure and going broke (literally at one point, one of these guys had to live in his car from what I remember from the Q&A with one of the film's creators), they chose to go independently of traditional Hollywood and tell an amazing story. You can read their stories and a synopsis of the movie at the website.
I would encourage you all to see the movie --
it won't leave you unchanged.

A brief synopsis from a movie website - "Nina, a young, unmarried waitress at a Mexican restaurant, finds herself pregnant and without work after coming in late several days because of morning sickness. Jose, the restaurant''s chef, is taken by Nina''s plight and becomes her sole confidant. Jose helps her walk through her decision on what to do with her pregnancy. In the process, he bears secrets from his own mysterious past, which reveal his tenderness and passion for her and the child she is carrying."

Jen, Thanks! Now, I really want to see it. Did I mention it was recommended by AFA (American Family Association)?

Hope things are going well & y'all are getting some of Noel's rain.

I hope you do get to see the movie! We're gonna try to go here in Atlanta Saturday when we have free babysitters in town!

And we didn't get one drop of Noel's rain - oh we had hoped to, but nope. We did have a fire warning Saturday though -- low humidity and ultra dry forests and 10 mph winds...thankfully, the Lord spared us any further damage that fires would have wrought.
